Atypic 55% milk chocolate from vanuatu
This was the best chocolate in the box, slightly milky with a beautiful design and a smooth taste
Koko Due Dark, organic vegan from Samoa
Super strong flavour, almost tastes like coffee. Very bitter and not at all like the chocolate you get in the shops
Monsieur Truffle Vegan, Organic white chocolate
This doesnt even taste like chocolate, I cant even describe the flavour. Sorry to the vegans but some milk, or fat or any flavour would help here
Overall thoughts?
So I love me some good Cadbury chocolate, but this box is far from that! This is your expensive, glamourous out of the mainstream chocolate. If you haven’t tried it before it can be super perplexing, very strong flavours and rich raw tasting notes.

Personally I enjoyed the Atypic chocolate as it had some milk in it, so it tasted similar to my normal chocolate, but with some deeper and richer cocoa notes. The other two were unfortunately vegan and organic, which if you are vegan is probably exactly what you’re looking for. I’m not a vegan so I found these lacking the good milky, fatty flavour we all enjoy when consuming chocolate. It felt less like spoiling yourself, and more like depriving yourself.
If like me you’re a fan of mainstream store-bought chocolate then definitely give the “Mellow milk” box from COCOA BOX a try, before diving into the dark or mixed boxes. But if you are a cocoa connoisseur or mad for dark or vegan chocolate then the dark chocolate box is for you.
